Chiron was no ordinary centaur — he was wise, gentle, and tutored the greatest heroes of his age. Accidentally wounded by a poisoned arrow he could not heal, he offered his immortality to free Prometheus from endless torment. Zeus placed him among the stars as a testament to wisdom and willing sacrifice.
